Laying Tracks at Pleck

Posted by ROB on November 9, 2012 at 6:45 AM

An update on the works at Walsall Pleck

Work continues at Walsall Pleck Junction on part of the South Staffordshire Line. Freightliner has part funded the works with Network Rail's re-signalling program, for a run a round loop for the Rugeley Coal Train.

The temporary blue fence has been removed and replaced with some harris fencing, with sections of lifted track piled up from the approach line.

Brand new sections of track are ready to be laid as well as the old ballast removed and replaced with clean ballast.
