An 1980 music group called 'Orphan' recorded a song called 'Love on the Lichfield Line' - the track was recorded in a Pelsall Recording Studio, so the 'Lichfield Line' referred to could actually be the South Staffs!

194G 1250 Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) to Old Oak Common H.S.T.D. Network Rail's New Measurement Train made a unusual appearance along the Cross City Line on Thursday 20th Feb. It past Lichfield City along platform No2, running 45mins late.
6260 1612 Llanwern Exchange Sidings to Middlesbrough Dawson Ayrton 66075 passes Lichfield City with a loaded steel train. The train passed Lichfield City station at 20:51 running 60mins late, held up at a signal at Barnt Green just before Longbridge. This was one of two diverted freight trains that ran along the Cross City Line (North) and along the South Staffs Line via Alrewas on Sunday 12th January 2014. This was due to engineering works on the Birmingham to Burton Line, that saw Cross Country trains stopping at Lichfield City, with a rail replacement bus service to Tamworth.
