X-Country Diversions 01/08/12 Add Video

A freight train derailed at Kingsbury on Wednesday 01 August 2012 The incident happened shortly after 1.30pm when two freight wagons left the track -- with officials fearing that they could topple over into the path of oncoming trains. Services were being rerouted via Lichfield with delays of up to an hour. Buses were running between Tamworth and Burton and taxis were being provided for passengers between Tamworth and Wilnecote.
